Welcome to The Mama Meditations! If you are mum to a little baby and finding motherhood a struggle, you have come to the right place! Being a mum is one of the most joyful yet challenging journeys you will ever experience. There are so many things you have to deal with on a daily basis: the sleep deprivation, the night wakings, the crying, the feeding, the long list of house chores and that's just to mention a few. With all the responsibility attached to motherhood, it can be easy to neglect yourself, your well-being and your own self-care

As mothers we can spend tireless hours focussing all our attention and energy into our children and our partners, taking no time for ourselves. And, if we do get a few minutes peace, we often feel guilty or undeserving of it. Well, I'm here to tell you that you deserve to nurture yourself mama! You matter, you are amazing and your needs are just as important as anyone else's!

Whilst I know that you are busy and have a lot on your plate, your health and happiness is important. If you can't take time to look after yourself, you can't look after anyone else, at least not in the most beneficial and nurturing way.

You might be thinking "How much time do I need to spend looking after myself? I am worried that I won't be able to find the time" Well, The Mama Meditations have been specially created to help you to nurture yourself in just 10-15 minutes each day to prevent any feelings of overwhelm.

10-15 minutes is all you need to make a positive impact on your emotional and physical well-being as a mother. The only thing I ask is that you are committed to giving yourself this time each day to rightfully and wholeheartedly focus on yourself.

Hi, I’m Anja! Mum to a little girl, a passionate holistic pregnancy coach with specialisms in hypnobirthing and meditation for mums.

My first year of motherhood was very tough. My mum died of cancer and I was struggling with the demands of a little baby. I was tired (often exhausted) and overwhelmed. Sometimes I felt very lonely as if no one else understood what I was going through.

One major thing that got me through this challenging time was 10 minutes of meditation every day.

I struggled with 8 main things in early motherhood but I couldn't find any meditations to help me deal with each specific challenge so I just meditated to some calming music.

Since then, and after speaking to countless mothers, I have realised that many mothers struggle with the same challenges as I did.

That is why I have created this series of meditations. With love, I offer you The Mama Meditations to help you to deal with your early motherhood journey in a calmer, more mindful and positive way.
